I believe some brands like Omega are slipping in their quality control. I have read the most appalling stories. Even Seiko is going down the drain with chapter ring misalignment issues.
Of course, it is well known that Seiko is slipping up. The quality control on the divers is atrocious, one has to ask for a pre sale check oftentimes.
Indeed, QC is usually atrocious. Just get lucky I say...
Sure, we all know what Panerai used to put in their watches...
Panerai.... Well now. That is one overpriced watch. Didn't they put in Seagull movements at one time?
Sure, quality is not dependent upon this. Ball tweaks its ETA's and gets great quality...
