Just noticed that you always need a gasket to seal it. So a push crown will do the job nicely for us that only shower or swim.
Of course... The gasket is what counts.
And of course... don't we all use a dive computer?
I think a screw in crown is more resistant to wear and tear. I notice a lot of play (wobble) in vintage watches, whereas modern watches would have none whatsoever. So there you have it.
The problem is that water pressure does not push the crown further in, it gets pushed out when air wants to escape. But even a screw in will eventually cave out because of the escaping air pressure. Thats why some brands have an escape valve. (Which is neither push or screw).
I am always a practical man, they did not equip the watch with this feature for nothing...
