I stumbled upon this today : http://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/h278910630
Does anyone know anything about it ?
I bid out of curiosity, and also out of lust for that dial. It isn't working apparently, don't how much a service would cost.
The bracelet looks wonderful as well (though I can imagine it being a rather effective hair plucker...)

Well, it is an all original with the bracelet from 1979, it has a mahogany brown striped dial (I had a KQ with that dial). But it will cost you (with all fees included and shipping) at least 145 euro to your doorstep. A service will cost you some 120 euro as well. So, 265 euro might be acceptable to you for a watch you will keep, but you will probably not be able to sell it on for that amount if you ever want to get rid of it..

You can see the bracelet code lower right in the picture, it is AS090. Often though you see variances with an X in front and a L at the end. I haven't figured out why this is, but it is period correct. The watch on the buyee site has XAS090L, so that is perfect.
Oh, and I will not be bidding against you.... lol. I just maxed out my budget (again).

It seems quite unique, probably worth a try. Older high-end Seikos are such a wonderful way to constitute a collection.

Just for comparison, this can be had for slightly less money too... It is new old stock. I payed 188 euro to my doorstep.

So, did you buy it?
No out of laziness and uncertainty I didn't bid back. It ended up at around 110 euros, without fees.
I've also outspent myself a bit recently, and am thinking about selling a Quartz GS soon. Buying anything at this point wouldn't make much sense.
