Better response on post Strap maketh watchYes, it's archaic - but it is succinct. Have you ever noticed that your watch got a different life with a new strap? I have several watches that I was just about to sell, but then on a whim decided to put on a strap. That's when I realized: strap maketh watch.

Of course it does! Most bracelets are just value added items - cheap to make, expensive to buy...

Could not agree more. That has happened to me on more than one occasion. About to sell a watch, checking some old photos to put up, and then notice that strap I had it on.... So, I put the strap back on and decide to keep the watch.

Yes, simply because it is very difficult (apparently) to make a really comfortable bracelet. Seiko was a master at this in the seventies... These vintage Seikos really have the best bracelets.

Hmm... Now what defines a strap? Material, micro adjustment, pin and buckle? This is a difficult question - a nato would not be a strap. Oh well, if it is all metal it is a bracelet right? Right?

I don't know, what about a Milanese?

Of course it does - bracelets are very limited in the way they can enhance the appearance of a watch.

Amusing - it was Bremont, costing 4500 euro and upwards thank you. 100 pieces for each of the three models. Here they are:
