Better response on post It is hot! What to wear?Hi all, it is scorching hot over here. Well, actually is is like a tropical jungle - and I find that a lot of watches become unwearable right now. Except for my Ball GMT (yes, the same one as Seikoman).

So, what are you wearing in very hot weather?

It is a great watch indeed. It wears comfortably in all circumstances I think. So guess what's on my wrist now?

Better response on post It is hot! What to wear?I would go for a watch that is not too large and fairly light so that you can put a strap on it that is about 20mm at the lugs. I would then choose a heavily padded leather strap that will balance the watch easily so that you wouldn't have to cinch it tightly - have some air in between. My vintage Seiko's come to mind...

That is a well thought out strategy. I might try it on my vintage watches.

Gorgeous pics! That strap is just perfect for it, and I suppose it balances the watch nicely too eh?

Better response on post It is hot! What to wear?Meh.. use a spring loaded buckle. That will keep the steel band flexible at all times - your wrist can swelll up in the heat and you will not even notice it. Just buy it at Esslinger.com or you will be ripped off on ebay.

Ah yes, the SPBE's.... I have them on all my watches when possible! Check it out.

And even on a more difficult clasp..

Usually rally straps will do nicely in the heat - I tried it and it works. Hey, if Paul Newman wore his Daytona on leather to the races......
