I like this idea... Is there a G-shock solar? That would be a contender to the throne right there. I will be back.

Found it: Casio G-Shock Style Mission horloge GD-400MB-1ER. Now that must be a tough hombre.

I like this tactical style. But I just figured out it is not solar - too bad. This one then.

I think your guess is spot on - the only question is... how tough does a watch need to be? Can it be less tough and still be ultimate?

Of course it can! G-shocks are way over the top. As long as there are no moving parts it will do.. So a good Citizen maybe? What about the Solarmate Digital Citizen Chronograph MHS7-300?

I think the ultimate solar watch would also be radio controlled or equipped with GPS, maybe check the Radio Control theme? Or maybe we should combine the themes?
Adminishing the #$@ out of it

Quit simply put, I don't want to drive a hummer to work.... And how tough does a watch need to be anyway? A simple well placed bezel will provide most of the protection.

Exactly. Look at those vintage Seikos. They survived the last 40 years.

Indeed and they are usually still accurate enough to catch my train!
