0 Hello everyone !
Here is my lovely SBGX009, a watch that I acquired a few months.
Though certainly not Grand Seiko's most spectacular effort, it is a watch that I learnt how to love. It is discreet, but gleams to the trained eye like a lady in love.
Some crappy cellphone pics :

0 That one has a definite vintage feel to it, is it from the '80s? Just after the rebirth of Grand Seiko?

No, it is not. Still being sold at retail nowadays... But I will give you the vintage design aspects.

No, that's a 9F Quartz !
No matter how crappy my pics are, it seems sharper than other online pics.

Didn't want to come across as rude or anything, just wanted to highlight that it was currently available.

Thanks !
I'm actually quite glad to have posted here. I became fed up with forums, especially WUS (and its idiotic attitude regarding sales, but that's another story for another time).

They vanished since you moved the thread (didn't know there was a proper GS sub-forum).
I've typed up a new message and re-uploaded the pics.
Next up will be my SBGX065, another 9F (on a bracelet, and pretty one at that).

Just plain old fashioned gentlemanly dealings.... We are all adults.

What I loathe even more than things that vanish are incomplete threads. Thank you for your pics, they're a nice addition to the thread.

0 I do detect a loyal GS following on the forum... Still, there is the King Seiko or King Quartz? These are all great watches.

Indeed, I do find the prices of vintage GS a bit too high... And design wise the kings are their equal (not talking about the moment here).
