0 Indeed, the retail price on these is what kept me from buying one. It is something like 2500 euro I believe?

2 Found a nice video here: waiting for a preowned seems like a long term endeavor. And I don't see them depreciating a lot..
Adminishing the #$@ out of it

Citizen quotes 2500 USD for the bracelet-clad ones, 3500 for the other ones and 6000 (!) for the introductory model (different case material). Reality, as indicated below, seems quite different however.

<snip>
I found many of them in Europe (in stock), for 1995 Euros (2500 USD MSRP, for once we get the better end of exchange rates), and one for 1450 Euro :
https://www.chrono24.fr/citizen/ar5000-6...734671.htm (On order, 1 or 2 weeks from a seemingly trustworthy seller).
Also found one for 1400 Euros on Yahoo Auction (14 hours to go, base price with no bid whatsoever yet).
One of them will be available at some point, and I have other projects to fulfill in the meantime.
I haven't seen any in the metal, but it looks like a beautiful, delicate piece.

0 I will have to get up to higher end again I guess. I have been buying pieces between 200 and 500 euros recently. Vintage watches are such a bargain..

In such a superficial, BS-driven industry, it's always particularly satisfying to acquire something of real value.
I bought a NOS twin quartz 9923-8050 that used to retail for twice a Dayjust's price in the 80's for 400 euros. It was a gift, so it isn't mine to enjoy, but it is a spectacular watch.
1mm thick multi-link bracelet, as soft and supple as well worn leather. A quality that would make Audemars Piguet feel quite self-conscious.

In NOS state, they're absolutely wonderful.
