Better response on post The Grand Old JDM watches threadI think it is about time to entertain a forum with a free for all as far as JDM Seikos and such are concerned. Currently I see a lot of SARBs coming by - especially the Alpinist range, but the SARB033 generates a lot of praise too. It is mentioned as the baby Grand Seiko and I think that is precisely correct! Still there is the Brightz and the Presage line... If you will only show them here gents! I will start it up with this nice video review.

I tend to prefer a vintage Seiko Grand Quartz for about the same price - has been running for 40 plus years too... Now that is proven quality for me! Still, a nice modern watch sometimes is nice too.

I can see that argument. I really can. To me however it is just a matter of attraction, I don't care if the watch I want (pun) is vintage or not.

I do like that Urban Gentry guy. Always fun to watch - even though he advises us to stay away from vintage! He does own one or two himself by the way, and sees them as money pits. (They are not Seikos of course).
